Day 105/365
This is home made candied orange peel, and OMG, is it ever good!!!! Fantastic! All the bitterness is gone from the peel, and it's very sweet. And so easy to make! I could probably sell it, it's so good!

Day 103/365
If anyone wants any marigold seeds, just let me know. I've literally got thousands and thousands of them, if not millions and millions! I can't stand to see seeds get lost or go to waste, so last fall I collected them from all my flowers in my garden. Marigold seeds are just one of the many flowers I now have seeds for. So - if you want to start your flowers from scratch next spring, get in touch, and you can have all you want. If you have any friends who want some, get in touch

Day 102/365
This tickled my funny bone. I was stopped at an intersection, waiting to turn, and there was this tiny little Smart Car in front of a city bus, also waiting to turn. It just reinforces how small those cars are. I remember when I first saw one, I thought they had forgotten to add on the rest of the car. I couldn't believe my eyes. Now they seem to be everywhere. (The cars, not my eyes!!)

Day 101/365
The moon, peeking out from behind our neighbor's pine tree. Very beautiful. Will see if I can get a shot of it this way when it's full. I like it when the moon is out when it's still daylight.

Day 100/365
There's no fun like bubble fun. Everyone loves bubbles. My grandkids are no different. They had a great time blowing bubbles yesterday. There's just something about bubbles.

Day 99/365
Happy Father's Day to all the dads out there. We had such a lovely day. My son came over with my 3 beautiful grandchildren, and we had the most delicious steaks, potatoes and veggies. Then cake and ice cream. The kids had a great time blowing bubbles and catching them. I'll post one of those pictures next time. I don't know about the rest of the family, but I had a wonderful day.

Day 98/365
This is my most favorite purse of all time. I loved this purse. Alas, it finally wore out, and I had to get rid of it. I did keep the bow, though. That just had to stay with me. I bought this purse around 2004 or 2005, when I could least afford a new purse. I looked at it a few times, convinced myself that I didn't need it and couldn't afford it, and moved on. But I kept coming back to it, and since it was always there, I finally decided that it was meant to be mine, and I bought it. And I got more compliments on it from so many people, most of them strangers, I know I did the right thing by buying it. I've got another pink purse, and it does the job, but it just doesn't have the wow factor that this old purse did. Why do things have to wear out?!

Day 97/365
Three guesses where I went. That's right - the dentist. I've never liked dentists. I bite, which they don't like. I figure that makes us even. This time was just for a cleaning. I had some laser cleaning done 6 weeks ago, and now they're just checking to see how the gums are doing. I can take that.

Day 96/365
Hair cut day. I go to this place, Salon 240. It's as good as any, I suppose. I don't really like getting my hair cut. I don't like people touching me, I don't like small talk, I don't like the prices they charge. I have short hair, and they only cut about 1 1/2 inches off, and they charge me too much. Then there's the tip. It's nuts. This time, I don't know what she did to it, but I don't like this cut. It sits too flat on my head, and makes me look like I've got hat head. Fortunately, it's hair, and it grows.

Day 95/365
We got Toby the Hawthorn tree planted. I think he looks pretty darn handsome, if I do say so myself. His white flowers have turned a beautiful dark pink. Soon there will be berries, and the birds will have a feast. Should drive Bean crazy. I'm going to make the circle of dirt larger and plant flowers underneath him. I'm a sucker for flowers. In a few years, Toby will be magnificent!

Day 94/365
Bean is back home, and is resting comfortably. He was in the hospital for 3 days, and is SO glad to be home. He's on 4 medications, twice a day, for 5 days. Considering what he's been through, he's taking the meds quite well. I make sure I give him the syringe with the sedative in it first, though. I'm not stupid. Hopefully he will continue to get better, and this is the last time he'll have this problem.

Day 93/365
This is Bean. He's been in the hospital for two days now. He's got a very bad bladder and urinary tract infection. They're pumping him full of pain killers, anti-inflammatory drugs, and antibiotics. Until he can pee, he can't come home. And boy, does he want to come home! Every time I go visit him, he tries to climb on top of me, begging me to take him home. And I want to, so badly, since I really miss having him home with me, especially since my Benny died. But I want him to come home healthy, so I have to leave him there for the time being. It's really hard being a mom, sometimes.

Day 92/365
My neighbor is having a new fence built. When they tore down the old fence, this was what they were faced with in his neighbor's yard. Uncut grass, weeds, dandilions, junk piled up against the house, not less than 4 barbeques, and (disgusting) dog poop all over the yard. I can't believe that people would willingly live like pigs! They have a couple of little girls living there, and I have no idea how they play in that yard, or if they're just housebound all the time. I feel very sad for those little kids. Not a great way to grow up.

Day 89/365
I was treated to lunch at the Earl Grey Golf & Country Club. This was the chicken dish. Looks good, doesn't it? I had the salmon. It was very good, but didn't present as well as the chicken, so I took a picture of that, instead of my own meal. It's nice to be treated once in a while, especially to be treated so grandly!
