These are daffodils I bought to help support cancer research.  They're beautiful, and really cheer up a room.  I think they stink, though, and keep them far away from me.  But I still buy them every year.  Cancer can be beaten!

Guess what?  I made President's Club in Avon again.  So they sent me another Mrs. Albee statue.  I haven't figured out what I'm going to do with the last Mrs. Albee statue I got!!  I hope they don't send a statue every year I make President's Club!  I'll be over-run by them!  Anyone want one?  You can have mine!

I've had this picture for many years, I just love it.  It's been sitting in the "to do" pile since we moved into this house almost 5 years ago.  I guess it's about time we finally got it hung!  I think it looks so nice against that wall.  Very elegant.

My poor battered foot and broken toe (the one beside the baby toe).  If you look closely, you can see the green bruise covering most of the top of my foot, and the purple bruising at the base of the nail of the broken toe.  This was a few days later, and the black and blue bruising had faded to the green.  When I do something, I do it big.

April 2, 2011.  It's been snowing all night.  I've been up since 5:30 a.m., and it hasn't stopped snowing in that time.  Weather is so unpredictable here.  Very pretty, but enough is really enough.  I'd like Spring to arrive, please!!

Spaghetti and meat sauce.  One of my favorite dinners.  This was especially good, because my B/F made it for us for dinner.  Food always tastes better when someone else makes it.  Yum.  Looked as good as it tasted, too!

There is a leak at work in the staffroom.  It's been leaking for months, but got really bad lately.  When we finally get some nice weather for a longer period than just one or two days, I think we're going to be in real trouble at work with leakage.  And this isn't the only leak.  There are several more in the building.  It's an old school, so I'm not surprised it's leaking as bad as it is.

A little fun with whipping cream at the last birthday party.  Balloons on the tablecloth, just crying out for whipped cream.  So....why not!  And a quick, delicious clean up, too!  :)

Strawberry cheesecake.  I made this myself.  It was quite good, even though I don't like cheesecake (it has the aftertaste of puke).  It was easy to make, and my B/F really enjoyed it, as he enjoys anything I make.  Unfortunately, it was just too big for the two of us, and most of it ended up in the garbage.  :-(  If I were to do it again, I'd take half of it to work.  They love homemade baking there.  Still, it was nice to know how to actually make one.

Another gift from Avon for making a certain amount of sales this year.  Not a bad looking platter.  Matches the vase I got last year.  Don't know what I'll use it for, though......

I was in the bathroom at work, and I saw this....thing....on the wall.  My first thought was

SPIDER!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I hate spiders!!!!!!  I was ready to flee the room, then I bravely looked at it a bit closer and discovered, to my great relief, that it was just a little clump of hair stuck to the wall.  Whew!!  Crisis over, heartbeat can return to normal.  But I still hate spiders!!

My hoya plant just keeps growing and growing.  You can hardly see the candles in the candle holder on the wall, because the plant has taken it over.  It's such a happy plant!  We can never move now, because I don't think I could untangle it!  Ha ha!

Homebaked brownies with a Kiss on top.  Yum!  This is what one of my co-workers brought for us.  There are 4 in our office, so we each got one.  It was SO yummy!!

Here it is, February again.  I started this blog last February with the intention of posting a picture a day.  As you can see, I haven't done it.  When you work full time and go to the gym 3 nights a week, and have a business on the side that you have to keep going, it sometimes is impossible to take a picture a day, never mind post one.  So I've failed in my mission, but that's okay.  It's been fun.  My grandbaby wants me to continue on, even if my deadline has passed, and I guess I will do that.  It won't be on a daily basis, but I'll post whenever and whatever I can.  Enjoy.

Had a birthday in the family recently, and served up Angel food cake with whipped cream and berries.  It was SO delicious!  Looked appetizing, too.  One of the best desserts out there.

My B/F was sitting at the table with his arm on it.  Twizzler, our newest cat, can't resist cuddling up with someone or on something, and he curled up in the crook of my B/F's arm and stayed there until my B/F had to move.  Twiz is such a sweet cat.  He fit right in with our family.

Here are the two greyhounds, Eagle and Indy.  We babysit them, from time to time, for my B/F's parents when they go away.  They're like 80 lb cats (the dogs, not the parents!).  All they do is lie around, sleeping.  Very easy to take care of.

My poor truck, Luke, had a seat transplant a couple of weeks ago.  Don't worry, he's doing okay, came throught it just fine.  Thanks for the concern.  It was pretty traumatic, but we pulled through.  However, because I (a self-proclaimed germaphobe) don't know who sat on the seat before the transplant, I decided to play it safe and put a cover on it.  Can never be too safe when it comes to germs and other peoples "unknowns".  This is the seat cover Luke and I agreed on.  We think it's beautiful.  We love faries, so this is right up our alley. 

Day 208/365

Had to go for a new crown at my dentist the other day.  He can make them right there in the office, so there's no second visit.  Yay!  What a genius idea!  It takes about an hour for the new crown to be made.  While I waited for it, they put me into their massage chair, and covered me with a nice, soft, warm blanket.  Another genius idea!!  It was SO nice!  Massaged me from one end to the other.  Very relaxing.  Unfortunately, because I'm vertically challenged (short), I didn't quite fit into the chair, the foot warmer was useless because my feet didn't reach the bottom, when it was supposed to be massaging my shoulders, it was at my neck.  When it was supposed to be massaging my neck, it was massaging the back of my head.  When it was supposed to be massaging my calves, it was massaging my ankles.  When it was supposed to be massaging my ankles, it was massaging nothing, because my feet didn't come down low enough for it to massage anything!  But it was still a nice, relaxing way to spend an hour.  These are the controls for the chair.  I got to play with it and push any button I wanted!  Always a plus!

These are the windows in my office at work.  With the return of this ^&^%*(&)!! cold weather, the panes of glass are nothing but frost, which doesn't make for a very nice view.  Fortunately, over the next few days, it's supposed to get nice out again, which is always welcome.  So stay warm out there, everyone!

Last week or so, when it was really, really cold (brrrrrr!!!!), this was frost build up on my bedroom window.  Looks pretty with the sun hitting it from behind.  Still, I prefer the weather we're having now, without frost on my window!

These pretty yellow flowers were more or less freeze dried when the cold weather and snow hit a few months ago.  They haven't lost any of their color or petals.  It's kind of nice to see their sunshiney heads poking out of the snow throughout the winter.  I don't know what they are, but I hope they come back next year.  They sound like paper when you touch them.

Slippers I made for a co-worker.  She lost a bet.  This was the prize.  A pair of slippers.  Decorated 'em myself.  She loved them.  NOT!!!!  Always a good gag gift, and so easy to make.

Gorgeous.  The moon, just coming up in the east.  I like all the hues in the sky.  All in all, a pretty picture.  This morning, the moon was in the west, and absolutely huge in a black sky.  Unfortunately, I couldn't take a picture because I was driving.  Still, this one is pretty, too.

One of my co-workers celebrated a birthday.  Her BFFs all got together and sent her this beautiful bouquet at work.  Thought I'd share it.

During the night, some bozo drove through the parking lot at work, drove over the cement blocks, through the trees, alongside the building, through a very narrow gap between two more trees, then through this metal barrier that has the plug ins for cars, then out the other end of the parking lot.  The guy was lucky he didn't hit a tree, or get hung up on this barrier.  We figure it was someone in a stolen car/truck (probably truck) out on a joy ride.  Can't imagine anyone doing that with their own vehicle.  Anyway, there was a lot of damage, and the parking lot had to be closed for the better part of the morning while crews cleaned up the mess.  Some people are just idiots.  This is what you leave behind when you're one of those people.  Stupid, stupid, stupid.

Growing grass in the house for the cats.  Thought that would keep the kitten away from my plants.  Nope.  They nibble on the grass, but the kitten still goes for the good plants.

Remember that last big snow storm that blew through here?  These are the chairs we have in our yard, and this is what they looked like after that storm.  I think they're rather pretty.  I'm sure a snowman would find them very comfortable!
