I just love it when the trees are so big that they canopy the road. This is a street in our community, lined with (ugh) poplar trees, but the effect is magnificant. Unfortunately, as I said, they're poplar trees, which, in my opinion, are just giant weeds. But the look is nice, and I'll be very upset the day the City decides to tear these weeds down. No matter what other trees they put up instead, I'll never see them do this again.
It makes me think of magickal places when the trees do that. For a brief moment, I can block out the roar of traffic and the bustle of the city to look up and see a canoy of green. I know, I'm a silly romantic.
