This is Toby, my Toba Hawthorn tree. Looking a little bare these days. To be expected, since we're heading into winter. If you look very closely, right where the roof of the white SUV is in the background, you can see a woodpecker holding on to Toby's skinny little trunk. Surprisingly, this little woodpecker wasn't pecking Toby, it was pecking the wooden stake that is helping hold Toby straight! I think the woodpecker may need glasses!!
Stupid winter... It's going to be cold and snowy and cold and windy and cold... Brr. That woodpecker either is desperate for bugs, or has something against wooden stakes holding trees up.

ReplyDeleteAnd dark. Did I mention that? It stays dark later and then gets dark earlier. Then I can't read in the bus BECAUSE it's so dark. Daek is dumb in the morning.
